Help upgrade our main barn to better weather all seasons!

Originally launched on #GivingTuesday, our goal to "winterize" our 45-year old barn is within reach. In spite of the name, installing a permanent, insulated ceiling to our "open concept" barn, and insulating the walls, will benefit the horses, as well as our staff's ability to serve them, year round.

This will not only keep water and pipes from freezing during the winter and horses and volunteers more comfortable, but also keep it cooler in warmer months. Lastly, it will increase hygiene in the barn as barn swallows will have to find somewhere else to roost (and poop!).

After the Races was without running water in the barn for more than three weeks this winter when Maryland experienced extreme conditions. This upgrade will prevent that from happening in the future.
